[mood |jubilant]

Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the season. I'm just here chillaxin' at home with nothing to entertain me but the television, my computer, and an Ellen DeGeneres memoir--and it's great!

So the absolute last thing I ever expected to get into was L4D fanfiction. I mean, come on, it's an FPS with about as much story as Webster's Dictionary. But I guess Fate (or just some nicely fleshed out L4D2 characters, I suppose) stepped in in the end, so here we are.

This fic took about a month to write, with considerable portions done during work. Heh. Writing it was fun. Rereading it is not. It's one of those stories where the more I reread it, the worse it looks; I realized today that given a couple more passes, I'll probably decide the whole damned thing isn't even worth posting, and then we'd all be losers. So here, you can have it while I've still got some faith in it. I'm sick of looking at it anyway.

I usually chapter any fics that I can't post to LJ in two parts or less. However, when I first started writing this fic I'd meant it to be more oneshot-like; things just sort of...got out of control. Not my fault this fic is of Tank-like proportions makes a Charger look like Gnome Chompski IS SO DAMNED LONG I'M SORRY OKAY.

Any and all concrit greatly appreciated.

(EDIT 12/27: Fixed some formatting problems I didn't catch initially, primarily stuff that should have been italicised but wasn't. It should all read true now.)

Title: Scour the Skies
Rating: R (language, gore, M/M situations)
Pairing: Nick/Ellis
Notes: 17,000 words holy shit. And it's STILL fail Divided into 3 parts.
Warnings: Covers all five campaigns, so uh, spoilers if you haven't played them all through yet? Also, due to its rating this fic will be f-locked in one week. Please comment [here] if you'd like to be added.
Summary: The zombie apocalypse has a way of bringing people together like nothing else.

[music |Gary Jules - Mad World]

Hey look who's alive

Wow, it's been a while. Sorry, guys, blame work. Hopefully over my brief one-week-long Christmas vacation, you'll see me around a bit more...

[info]lillypuff , I am so, so sorry it has taken me so long to get this fic out to you (six months, I think? Jesus.). I'd written about half of it in October, and then Word promptly crashed and I LOST THE WHOLE DAMNED THING, and so I decided to take a break before I tore all my hair out, and then I was promptly distracted by L4D2 fic, and then L4D2 fic became really f-ing long, and then there was work and the end of the semester and more work and I AM JUST SO VERY SORRY.

I'd tell you to consider this an early Christmas present, but I rather think it's a little too heavy for that. So let's just call it a gift for no real occasion, just you being awesome. =)

Title: Four times Aziraphale questioned Ineffability; One time Crowley convinced him to just go with the flow
Rating: PG, I suppose, for touching on some heavy topics...
Pairing: Light Aziraphale/Crowley (and a tiny, blink-and-you'll-miss-it hint of my other GO OTP)
Summary: I think the title says it well enough.

It's best to make do with what we're dealt )
